7zip extraction really slow
Is there any reason why joining files with jdownloader is so slow?
taking at least 10 times as long to do it than if i just use the regular hjsplit application myself |

Please provide example links, then we can check it.
Could not find any *slowness* myself, so either it has to do with the archve/split itself or your system/JDownloader setup

Its not a split archive (eg HJSplit). It's 7Zip multipart archive. There is a known performance regression in 7zip part of the used extraction library. This will be fixed once we upgrade to latest available version.

hjsplit will be able to join them (hjsplit is not able to detect if its a hjsplit archive or not because that fileformat has no headers) but the archive might be broken then. JDownloader simply extracts them

I'm not sure if this is the same issue since it isn't a multipart archive but the extraction was so slow that I finally aborted it and extracted the file manually (and fast) with 7zip.

The issue is known with old extraction library, please try out the current public testing version, see here
