ReconnectIssuesTP-LinkWR541G
Hi,
I am having troubles with reconnect. I have spent a lot of time searching about it. It says my ip is dynamic, but when I click to release and renew on my router, I get the same ip address. When I had a computer hooked up through ethernet, I recall reconnect worked fine. I am trying to get reconnect to work through wireless now with a different computer. Is there any hope? Thanks. |

Update:
Tried the Ethernet on the computer, and that has issues as well. So I'm wondering what I can do. |

First try the web interface of your router. If you can reconnect using that interface, try to record it with jD.
Please, also read "Getting started with Reconnection". |

I already have done the basic steps.
This is why I am posting here. |

If you can't get another IP address using your router's web interface or by just switching your router's power off and on, you might have a 'sticky' IP address.

Hmmm. Ok. Well The ISP said it is a dynamic server, and that it should be able to work...

Then ask your ISP why your IP address doesn't change.

They said it had to do with my router, and to contact the company for the router.
