The module field at the bottom of the window (which, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get to NOT display) is "stuttering", or disappearing and reappearing once or twice a second (this causes the main window to enlarge downward and then retract a split-second later, causing fluttering).

Restoring/restarting does not solve the issue.

JDownloader really does needs a "reset everything" feature (well, everything except hosing one's list of files and their selected DL location).
