Default Event Sounds?

Is it possible to set user sounds to be played for different events such as "download complete" "packet complete" "all downloads complete" "error" etc. ? I've seen that this feature used to be available in Jdownloader and is no longer there. Am I missing something?

I did a quick search on the forums but I haven't seen any topics that would answer this exact question.

Early versions of JD had an "Event Manager" and you could assign sounds to the events. An Event Manager is planned for the future, but is not part of JD right now.

I added a reminder about sounds to the BugTracker entry about the event manager.

Cool

Note that the Soundtheme that can be selected in earlier versions of jD is not part of the Event Manager. Of course, it seems logical to include it there when re-implemented.

Thanks. It's a small thing but I'd gladly see it back in jD.

Default Yes, please add sound events, especially for captcha input

Just want to add my vote of support for introducing sound events to this excellent program. One event in particular is of interest to me -- to play when input is needed for responding to a captcha that the program can't figure out.

Thanks

I believe that the Event Manager will have a "Play sound" action (you select the sound file path) that can be associated with any event.

I think the team do not want to add specific sounds separately, because they are trying to reduce the "special code" and they are anxious to get three or four major changes (including Event Manager) implemented.

Default Audio Alert For Captcha Window

I would like the option for an audio alert to sound when the JD Captcha popup window appears. This would be useful when working on another PC, or I'm simply resting my eyes!

Sounds will come after the Event Manager. It is on the list of future improvements.
