Missing filehosts with Grab8.com & other
Hi,
I've just renewed my account, and so I can now report on the issues between Grab8 and JDownloader2. The first problem I've encountered is that a lot of filehosts are not marked as "supported by Grab8" in JDownloader2. And so, I can't use my Grab8 account to download from them. Here is an extensive list of the "missing" filehosts, that Grab8 supports but which JDownloader doesn't acknowledge as such: Last edited by Bartx; 26.05.2017 at 23:36. Reason: To clatify the title |

I guess free/premium account detection fails or list parsing has issues
Please send logins to support@jdownloader.org so we can check/fix it

[Grab8.com] - Transloading feature not really working
Hi,
I wanted to report another problem while pspzockerscene is working on Grab8.com and its issues with JDownloader2. And since he's the one who added the transloading feature last time, now is the perfect chance to report this problem. Let's say I want to download Filename.avi which is hosted on uptobox.com using my grab8.com account. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Description of the problem: In short, JDownloader2 keeps giving the link to Grab8 until it is tranloaded on their servers, which cause Grab8 to download filename.avi a lot of times on their servers, and so on my account. When I go to My Files, I see something like this:
The file is added multiple times to my account. Which is a huge problem since some hosts have Bandwitch Limits, and in this case, it would have used 2GB on my traffic on Uptobox.. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Would it be possible for you to modify the transloading feature of grab8 by doing something like this maybe ? • Give the link to Grab8 • Go to this page: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** • Get the status to know if the file is finished or not. -> IF it is finished THEN download it with JDownloader2 -> IF not, THEN just show the progress on Grab8 side using the "%" column (or just put the download on hold). It is only a suggestion, and I really don't know how JDownloader2 works behind the scene, and so if it's possible to do something like this. I hope it's possible, or else using Grab8 would not be possible with JDownloader2.. |

I've fixed the host issue
in respects to transloading, I though psp implementation was incorrect, my non committed implementation was using /account see if I can find it within my workspace history. raztoki

Hi,
Thank you Raztoki. The "missing filehosts" problem is fixed now thanks to you. For the transloading problem described there: https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...56&postcount=8 Would it be possible to create an entry in the bugtracker ? |

@Bartx
The plugin is designed NOT to download it multiple times. If it does this anyways, we will need your account and example URLs (maybe not such big files so we won't waste too much traffic testing) to check/fix this ... GreeZ psp

Hi,
I just wanted to notify you, that the account I provided you will expire in about one week from now. I really don't know if this issue can be solved until then, since you probably already have a ton of things to do and that this feature seems quite hard to implement.. |

I've worked on it the other day, just not satisfied enough with code to commit it.

Grab8 keeps grabbing same file causing massive BW
I am using Grab8 with jD2 for some time now.
I noticed that with bigger files jD2 has a problem using the Grab8 service. It fails to grab the file and then keeps trying to grab it, however, the file is already being downloaded to the Grab8 servers. What then happens is that it just download the same file over and over to the grab8 server, causing my account to run out of bandwith for the day as they have a 50GB a day limit. However, when i download a file, first request it, it will fail, but if i then disable the file from downloading, i visit the grab8 website and i see the file being downloaded, when it's done and i try to the same download again with jD2 it will just grab the file instantly. These files are 1 or 2GB i download from there. I am using two hosts mainly rapidgator and icerbox, icerbox always works instantly, but those files i grab there are smaller. (approx 100-150MB) |

Yeah, that's exactly the problem I reported.
The fact that JD2 keeps requesting the file causing Grab8 to download it to their servers multiples times, inducing an excess of traffic which is extremely problematic when filehosts have limits per days.. But Raztoki is normally working on this |

I couldn't reproduce using more data
maybe it does when you request multiple times whilst still downloading original request. as i did it post download and it does give you the generated link, and doesn't deduct for that request. anyway I did commit the support, I rewrote some parts again as I wasn't happy with it the other month. I have done limited testing so would be nice to get feedback once you all do the next round of core updates. raztoki
