Default New Issues I Noticed with GDrive and Mega

Hello, I just made an account to post this.

Recently I noticed that we can't download files larger than our allowed quota anymore. For example if I only have 1gb quota left and I'm trying to download a single 1.2gb file from mega, the download won't and cannot start until the quota is reset.

Not sure if how long has this been happening, I haven't been active downloading stuff for a while but back then it let us download parts of the files until we hit our quota. Like in example above the download should start but stops at 1gb/1.2gb. Same goes in Gdrive I think.

This make it impossible for us to download single files above 3gb (used to be 5gb, I think they recently downgraded it) without paying for a subscription.

I checked the web Mega and it still let us download parts of the file, if only browser can pause and resume as good as Jd...

I loved JD2 to bits, one of the best PC App I know of. I really hope you guys would fix this, if possible.

Thank You!

It's been like this since the beginning, see
JDownloader can only download a file if the current quota is enough to download the whole file in one go.
JDownloader requests the whole file and therefore require the quota to be large enough.

For GDrive it's a different cause. They have a share/traffic limit on public shared files and then require an account/being logged in to download the file. Login is currently broken/in work.
