Red face almost put this in bugtracker..Because it really surprises me jdownloader doesnt know

first of all I realy like jdownloader
but it is kind of odd that you did not realise this: on firefox you can start as much counters as you want at the same time ON MEGAUPLOAD and then get all the downloads, each right after the last one finished so you do not have to wait each time, since all countdowns were running at once.
Why does jdownloader waits between downloads? shouldnt it just start multiple counters at once then download all in a row with no break? if I have 20 or 2 or 275 small files to download it would take almost twice as fast using only firefox than with jdownloader, only you have to wait at the computer to start each download..
could you please fix this, this would mean allot of time saved, up to one minute per download on MU

thank you

@medonotknow
Parallel downloading for free users is working but not for all.
Because of this we can't implement that.
IOf you want this feature, do it on your own, JD is open source!

Cool

Do you mean that some hosts set regional limits (simultaneous downloads allowed or not) for freeloaders?

no you got me all wrong, I am talking about simultaneous counters on megaupload..not downloads.. just the counters, jdownloader could start simultaneous count-downs (counters) and then download all files in the list -one after the other-, but without waiting the 45 seconds in between each if it would simply start by connecting to all the megaupload links, start all counters and then download each file one after the other. no waiting in between.

if you still do not understand this, try for yourself, open more than one MU link at once, (say 3) then enter all 3 captcha , use free download, wait for one of the counter to finish, start download, then magic! you do not need to wait for the 45 seconds to start the other downloads because the counters are already finished.

I believe that on MU the download links never expire once the counters are finished or it takes a long time, so it would save lots of time for free megaupload users and it would be a great improvement for Jdownloader I think

thank you

saving 45 seconds per download means allot when you have like 100 small files to download..

Cool

Did you already try this with larger files, let's say 100 MB? Don't these links expire?

problem with that is that the download links have a timeout. means:
if you start 10 counters and your first file takes too long, then the available downloadlinks of the others are already expired. and you need to begin from start.
also using a free user account reduces waittime to 25 secs.

The problem is that if we use a free account to save 20secs (from 45s to 25s), then we can only download one file before it says limit reached, well that's the problem i have. How else could I save time ? That little time is precious when there is 200 files!
Thanks in advance.

I did it on this way before. I got all the links and then added them to any download manager. So, the download process was totally uninterrupted and unheeded (disattended ¿? )

The method for JD could be to start the counter when the current download is next to end... or start two counters at the first download (the actual and next link) and only the next counter for the rest.
