Default Single files / Package names / Launch / Find file

I love Jdownloader, and I would like to use it as my everyday downloader, but I think there are some limits to it. I searched the board, looked at the tickets and have not found anything about the following issues. Here are some ideas:

1) Single files not in packages: is it possible to leave single files out of packages, or put them in one big common package ?

2) Auto-rename packages : if files within a package have similar names, the package would be named after them. Example: "this.is.my-download.part1.rar", "this.is.my-download.part2.rar" ... would make the package named "this.is.my-download"

3) Launch files from Jdownloader: double-clicking a file would launch it instead of bringing up the properties, or right-click then "open file"

4) Right-click "open directory" would automatically highlight the file in windows explorer, instead of just opening the folder.

5) Option to ask what download folder to use even for single files through flashgot.

6) When file already exists, option to skip or overwrite or rename for the all queue (like in windows explorer) instead of for just one package.

Thank you very much for this exceptionnal piece of software !

Cool

Thanks for searching before asking.

1) You can do that by dragging the links to a package of your choice. You can call that package whatever you want.

2) This should already happen in the Linkgrabber. Can you please provide counter examples?

3) Feature #1979 : Open File/Folder

4) Has been asked before, but can't find it myself.

5) -

6) This is the "If the file already exists" setting in Settings -> Basics -> Download & Connections -> Download Control.

Thanks for 3), I guess I need to brush up my searching skills

1) The idea is to automatically sort them. For example, today I downloaded 78 mp3s from a website. As each mp3 was on a different page, I got 78 packages. Of course, I can move them one by one, but it's pointless. I'd rather see them all instantly rather than having 78 "Flashgot (1)" packages.

2) Example with Ubuntu 10.04

6) This is an always-on feature. Currently, you have the choice to always skip or skip package by package. I'd like the possibility to skip files for the whole queue or during the current session (downthemall offer those 3 possibilities).

You can select all the packages, right-click and "Merge to one package" instead of moving them one by one. Good luck

2) In the image I see that it worked. If you've a example links where it doesn't work, please provide links that can be tested.

6) The setting applies to all links and packages in your download queue.

2.) is because you add the links directly to the download page and not the linkgrabber where autopackaging happens. disable autostart in flashgot and links will go to linkgrabber first and then autopackagging will take place
2.1.) that will also be your solution to 1 just select all the one file packages and rightclick merge them, before adding to download page

5.) you can do that in linkgrabber (disable autostart in flashgot, you know thats why its called autostart )

4.) will come
