Just a heads up if you use the Vinylwalk3r dark theme - **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
The latest update coming just a while ago would not install, it kept giving errors, which has never happened to me before. Anyway, I thought to change my theme back to default just in case...and it worked! In case you may have forgotten how to do this, go to settings tab > advanced settings > type "theme" into search box > for the entry "GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings: Look and Feel theme > change it to default. (It is probably on BLACK_EYE for the dark theme). It's fine to change back to dark theme after the update is installed successfully. I hope this helps someone. ![]() Last edited by JudgeM; 23.12.2021 at 19:22. |

Today I received similar error to what segax posted. I then followed the two links and did as Jiaz instructed, but it did not work, still getting an attempt to install at startup then this error message below too. When I first got an error message, JDownloader would at least run after the message but now, closes itself so unusable.
lol, why did it make the above image so large? It is not that large in pixel dimensions. Anyway, I assume I need to reinstall right? Do I need to uninstall first or just install on top of what's there? Last edited by Jiaz; 29.12.2021 at 20:39. |

It's working again now. Regardless of advice against it, I uninstalled anyway and reintroduced the previous settings saved as a backup file.

That is what I did, that did not work. I installed over existing install, which worked to get rid of the error and it's running fine again.

@dave9: most likely at the time you have tried to fix as described, the bugfix was not live yet and thus could not work
