Default File size mismatch

G'days,
On 3 occasions, I've downloaded files which have ended up larger than the actual filesize. All were compressed files (zip and rar), contained MP3s and were also corrupted. When I downloaded the same files directly thru Firefox, the correctly-sized file was received and extracted properly.
For example, one file is 80MB but when it finished downloading it was 109MB and corrupted. The (corrupt) zip showed 9 files and I could extract the first 8 but it died on the final file. The zip actually contained 14 files. When the JD download finished, the Progress bar showed the file size as 136.74% of the initial (correct) file size.
The actual package contained 11 zips. The first 2 downloaded OK, the next 2 were corrupt and I downloaded all thru Firefox without any issues. These files were hosted on Zippyshare but the first time this happened, the file was hosted on Uploaded. No passwords on the files.
Any thoughts?
:outch:

2 of the failed links

Tried to create a log of the relevant time slot and got this response
09.02.14 18.17.12to10.02.14 08.08.35 jdlog://7769334130931/

Can't see a file by that name so I assume it means something to someone there. Are the times of the log segments local or GMT?

Cheers,
Paul

Hm the links work fine for me...
Make sure that nothing blocks your JD/Java.

Default The problem continues

Other downloads are working fine so some sort of general blocking seems unlikely. I've just tried resetting the Disc 10 link and it's doing exactly the same thing. It's presently up to 130% of the original (correct) size. I'm downloading thru Read Debrid this time rather than direct from ZS.
OK - it got to almost 150% then tried to complete. Extraction failed again and it reset the original file size of 88.75MB to the new overachieving file size of 133.12MB. Reset and recheck, and original file size is back to 88.75.

I've deleted the link and reloaded it. The download (ZS direct) proceeded exactly as previously - got to 150%, tried to complete and failed exactly as per the previous attempts.

I was downloading other packages (incl MP3, FLAC, AVI, MKV, compressed and uncompressed) at the same time as the original failure and those completed successfully.

In the old days, I would have suspected the program doing the compressing was not doing EOF marking properly. I've been retired for a while now so not up to date on anything except afternoon naps.

Cheers!

OK - nailed it. It's the "Chunks" setting. 2 chunks bad, 1 chunk good.
