Default Download ETA

For a long time now JD does not give the correct time left for a package of links to be downloaded (ETA)

The individual links in the package report the correct time but the time given for the package is always way more than it should be.

For example all the links in the package have been downloaded except for 1 which it says has 5 mins left to download, but for the package it will say 1h30mins

IS this a known issue, and is there a fix for it?

@perspicacia: Can you please provide a screenshot that shows links and package eta, then we can explain. In short: JDownloader shows you the *bad* ETA instead of *too optimistic* one. Imagine two files, one takes 1 mins, the other takes 2 mins. Then JDownloader will show 2 mins because that's the longest link eta required to finish the package as it's not for granted that after first link has finished, that the 2nd one will be finished faster. The topic is more complex that it seems on first look. You cannot just do simple amount of data / package speed as there are no guarantees that the speed will remain the same once links have finished.

this idea is to offer settings to choose between optimisitic (speed will remain the same) and pessimistic (speed will reduce/not increase speed)

* or also between other parameters which control which items shall- or shall not be included in speed calculation.
