@Jiaz: still having the unknown size and it's not dowloading. See image.
I right clicked over JD icon for updating and it says I already have the last version.
Is something else I have to do to update?

Browser and JDownloader show both
empty HTTP-Response
I would guess it's a caching issue at the used server
r3---sn-8pgbpohxqp5-ajtl.googlevideo.com
Can you check if that video plays fine in browser and what resolutions are available to you?

Video is fine in last version of Firefox, I can watch it at 1080 resolution.
What does it mean: empty HTTP-Response?

It means that the server doesn't respond with any content
In browser, you can enable *stats for nerds* rightclick in video, can you please create a screenshot of that?

Hi. Today I noticed something. Actually It happend me several times before but I didn't care much. When I copy a playlist from youtube, JDownloader grabs links wrongly and It gives the 2 two or more videos same name and when we start downloading It says Its a same file; you can skip,rewrite or change name. But the file I try to download is not the same video, JDownloader gives duplicate name for the video. For example **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
When JDownloader starts to grab videos, It grabs the video named "ROI - Python plays Grand Theft Auto 5 p 4" but you can see the size of videos they are different videos actually. Also It gives same name for jpg,txt and srt file. After changing the name of video via JDownloader's pop-up "skip file" screen, I noticed these videos are different each others. Just copy the link and say Complete Play List, you will understand what I am trying to say.

Hi,
even after resetting the Youtube plugin JD2 can't download any video at audio quality higher than 128kbps for AAC or M4A when the 192kbps setting is picked. OGG is OK, though, but not all videos have that audio codec available (unless converted, something that I don't want to do). Just to be clear, I only want to get the audio file.

Is there a setting that I'm missing or has Youtube changed something that needs an update?
(JD2 is updated, by the way).

Some examples:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

@Osakawa: Thanks for the feedback but there have been zero changes in JDownloader So I guess it was just a coincidence

@kartie: YT uses VBR and no longer CBR for mp4. That means that JDownloader showing 192kbit/s means VBR with MAX bitrate of 192kbit/s but average might be much slower, for example 128kbit/s.

But that's not what's happening. If I open one of those files on Foobar2K the bitrate won't drift beyond 123-130 kbps. None of them.

@kartie: Enable "Youtube.doextendedaudiobitratelookupenabled" in advanced settings. (Description: Preload 200kb and use FFProbe to detect the actual Audio Bitrate.)

@kartie: but that's what is happening. vbr with max 192 doesn't mean that it must use that much. you can enable what mgpai wrote and JDownloader shows average bitrate

Thanks, that fixed the wrong bitrate detection.
So it looks like almost all the videos have audio encoded at 128 kbps; or Youtube only offers that. The ones that use OGG are correctly detected at around 150 kbps, though.

This is so strange. And now that I think of it has been ages since JD2 found a video with 256/384 kbps audio bitrate.

Oh, I can pinpoint the date since I have some old audio downloaded, looks like the downgrade started on august 2016. Everything after that date is consistently 128 kbps.

@kartie: It's not about *wrong bitrate* detection, but JDownloader checks for Itags that signals what codec/bitrate and since YT changed to VBR over CBR, those indicated bitrates of course no longer show the real average bitrate. That's why there is this option to make JDownloader actual check the average bitrate
Yes, the change from CBR to VBR is since long time now

Well, it seems to be working now.
Not sure why you deleted mention of that WWII historical documentary, but if you fixed the dl problem, thanks.

Hello. I'm downloading YT videos with their subtitles. Some videos has more than one subtitle and I want to add another subtitle for video, for that I generally do it in Link Grabber via "Add additional variant" option. But if there are a lot of videos it is hard to add variant to all of them. So is there a option that provides me to download subtitles more than one? For example I wanna download turkish and english subtitles at once for all of the videos without doing "add variant" again and again for each videos.

JDownloader can't grab the Youtube links occasionally. There is an example link below.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

I tried this link only two minutes ago. My JD is up to date.

@khBattousai: Please create debug logs. Enable Settings-Advanced Settings-Log.debugmodeenabled and restart JDownloader. When issue happens again, please create a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs and post shown logID here

I'm also having the problem that JDownloader is unable to grab the links for some videos. It works with the majority of videos, but it only finds the 3D variant for some specific videos.

Examples:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Exclamation "Account required" error even when account is enabled

Having an issue where I add this video to the downloader and it returns "Account required. Add your Youtube Account to JDownloader."

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
E-d21RrPqPU

There doesn't appear to be any restriction on the video (although it is unlisted), but even when I enable my youtube account on JD2, and it says "account is OK", I still get the same error.

same here. I removed the youtube account from JD and tried adding again. now it says "cannot add Account because Premium Account" which I don't know what it means. I don't have premium youtube account. is it what JD wants?

My JDownloader2 just did an automatic update. Now I can only download from youtube in these formats:
720p mp4 30fps;
360p mp4 30 fps;
144p 3gp 30fps.

All other formats download in two separate dashvideo and dashaudio files format, then they fail to mux together.

Is this an old problem that's recurring just now?

Is there a way to roll back an update?

Thumbs down youtube login doesnot work

when try to add a download? it shows "Sign in to confirm your age".
When try to add youtube account in account manager it shows "invalid logins". I am sure the login and password are correct, tried with a few accounts. Nothing works.

Hi, tried using JD2 for youtube after not using it for awhile and having issues with slow downloads. I tried doing the enable bypass setting that was mentioned in another thread but it still didn't get much faster 120kbps. What else do I need to do to fix download speed? Thanks

@wow843658435
Log please.

@sjwolf
Well as long as you did not accidently enable pause mode in JD, there is pretty much nothing you can do.
Try changing your IP and/or try downloading via a VPN and check if you get better speeds.

I can download your URL with 1MB/s but that is not representative as I'm probably just lucky ...
