JD2 doesn't check account after restart.
I'm currently away from home for an extended period of time, so in order to keep caught up with stuff I am using the laptop (SP SP3).
What sucks is that the Intel PROSet wireless package tends to lose connection. At that point, the plugin will get flagged as being bad. My only cure for the Wi-Fi connection is to reboot the computer, as the Intel program will not reconnect. Now, here comes the issue. Upon restarting JD2, it happily wants to restart the downloads, which will all ultimate fail. It would be really nice that upon restart of JD2 that it rechecks and resets all plugins. Clicking on reset manually does nothing. I have to delete the plugin and then re-add it. Not an ideal situation. JD2 should be able to do this for me. Thanks.

Simple, in the plugin manager, I highlight my plugin and remove (delete) it so that I can re-add it. Unless that is done, I've lost access to that particular site.
Upon a restart, JD2 should check the validity of the plugin, especially if it is flagged as having an issue.

It is called "Account manager", we can remove and re-add the account there, not the plugin.

Sorry,right, the account manager. I'm not asking that JD2 do a remove and add,but that it try and reconnect to verify login/account status with the host.
Once the account is flagged yellow, it does not try and re-establish upon a restart. Something that JD2 should not have a problem doing. Or at least add a button on the bottom to do a reset. Thanks.

It could also be due to you disabling a default setting in advanced.
settings > advanced > AccountSettings: Auto Account Refresh (default is checked). With default setting enabled, JD will auto recheck account status by default, usually within 30-60seconds after start and ~every 30minutes raztoki

No, computer restarted from an already running laptop. JD2 was exited before the reboot. Quote:
Hard to disable an option that I do not see. If it does recheck 30-60 secs after start, by then it is too late because JD2 is already trying to download what is in the list. I end up removing the plugin and adding it back before 60 sec is up. I only have one plugin, so it should not take that long to get to it.

oh sorry, maybe that setting is only available for developers. I have it turned off as it nukes console http requests.
Think you can delay auto start in advanced (not sure which setting though) may I ask which plugin we are talking about?

Thanks for the reminder. I usually use API method, but because of speed issues at the last location, I was told to try SSL and turn off API, which helped. But now that I am at a location that has better speed, I just switched on API back on.

so must been cached cookie issue,
think api wouldn't have that problem from quick look at the code earlier today. this is the main reason I asked =] Id recommend using API unless uploaded or you having issues with that interface. Would be nice for some feedback over the next day or so using API instead of Web with restarts etc. raztoki
