javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Unsupported record version Unknown-84.84
16.09.17 09.25.08 <--> 16.09.17 12.11.58 jdlog://8466514015941/
Downloads are half completed. Additionally, many of the hosts are blacked by ISP. Only way to access is through SSL. Please let me know what should I do to resolve this. If this need some JD side fix, please do it. |

its caused by your ISP issuing root certificate and hijacking the ssl connection.
only solution is to use a secure VPN.

I can access the sites in chrome in SSL. Will this be resolved by perhaps importing the certificate chrome uses into java cert store? Or any change in JRE files/config/settings?

Also is there any mechanism in jd2 to use certificate generator like fiddler does?

I assume that its caused by your ISP issuing root cert
it could also be caused by bad Java. Please wait for Jiaz response raztoki

Java version is too old for some newer TLS stuff. Install newer java on your computer and remove the bundled one (just rename the java folder in your JDownloader folder).
Then it should work fine again. Optional you can try to use BouncyCastle. Go to Settings-Advanced Settings and search for GeneralSettings.preferbouncycastlefortls and enable it

Update: Exactly the same issue mentioned here: medium.com/@karthikb351/airtel-is-sniffing-and-censoring-cloudflares-traffic-in-india-and-they-don-t-even-know-it-90935f7f6d98
As mentioned in that article, may be if we change host header for banned sites can we pass through for download page? I guess this may be tough task. But huge number of sites banned in India including uptobox, openload, userscloud..... So this workaround would be helpful for big set of people in big set of sites even for upcoming bans. |

we wont be changing how http requests are made. We need to comply with RFC.
get a secure VPN if you want to use internet without interference. raztoki
