Default Jdownloader 2 Beta & Windows 10

Hi all,

I'm new here so I hope I have posted this in the right place.
I'm looking for some help please. I use jdownloader 2 beta a lot. I recently upgraded my pc to windows 10 pro. I installed jdownloader 2 beta twice, but on both occasions windows 10 appears to have uninstalled it. Now it won't even install.
Can anyone please tell me if I'm missing something? Is jdownloader 2 beta compatible with windows 10

Regards,
Bunnyboo75

What antivirus software are you running??

if its just default windows software it could be windows defender. I've seen this cause issues in the last few weeks with within windows 10.

JD2 works fine on windows 10, when not cockblocked.

Hi.
Thanks for the replies. It's standard windows antivirus. I'll try your suggestions and see what happens. I thought I was going mad. I knew I installed it twice but couldn't find it. Thanks again. I'll post how I get on.
Bunnyboo.

Not for me.

I have JD beta 2 with latest updates. Does not work at all on Windows 10.

It's not an AV problem. Nothing works. Click on anything and nothing happens. When I copy a link to the clipboard it only partially shows up in Linkgrabber and I can't click on it. It almost seems like a video problem but I tried upgrading video driver and that didn't help.

Will try to get a couple of screen shots.

What Graphic Card do you have? Is it a fresh installation?

Intel 4600 (integrated on the womanboard). JD runs perfectly under Windows 7 on the same exact computer. On Windows 10, JD is a mess.

It is not a "fresh" installation. I'm using a copy of the JDownlaoder directory from Windows 7, where it works fine.

I've tried to avoid doing a fresh install because I don't want to lose all my settings. For example, I have a couple of premium accounts configured in JD but I don't remember the passwords. If there is a way to re-install JD but keep my settings, let me know.

Screen shot:

Copied some YouTube links to clipboard. They don't show up in Linkgrabber, but then if I randomly click in various places on the blank white area, they show up, sort-of. But I can't click on any of them.

Hello,
I get no error messages.
I launch the installer, it starts, the green line goes quickly from 0% to 100%, it closes... and nothing is installed...

What firewall/av do you use? Sounds like installer is getting blocked.

Hello,
I just tried installing jdownloader using the link you gave me and the "clean installer" works perfectly.
I suppose the problem was with the other istaller I used.
Thank you very much, Jiaz.
