Default Event Scripter Overview?

Hi All,

Is there an overview anywhere for event scripter?

I've found mgpai's most excellent event scripter 'Scripts' thread, but have not yet found the answer to what I'm trying to do (I'm only ten pages in, though).

I thought I'd ask if there's a guide to event scripter before asking my actual question -- a definitive source of information I can learn from is better than asking things that are documented.

I've also seen the help offered in the event scripter, but it's like much of the documentation I see in my day job: great if you know the material and need a reminder, not so great when you're getting starter.

For instance, definitions of the triggers: when does each fire? what variables are in scope in each? I'm looking for basics here, and haven't seen them turn up yet in the scripts I've seen so far.

From now on we also have a separate Event Scripter category in our Knowledge-Base.

It is primarily there to link existing scripts but as scripts are usually made by users, we will still mainly use our forum for them.
We will put some popular/useful scripts directly into our knowledgebase.
