I don't know of any computer that doesn't run Windows, or MacOS, or Unix, or Linux. Phones and tablets do not count.

JD needs Java, there is no version of JD which is not written in Java.

Your original post should have said that in the first place. It was misleading and fooled pspzockerscene. IT partially fooled me, in that I got the drift and mentioned Unix, I forgot that a Unix installer isn't supplied.

Porting one for FreeBSD shouldn't be that hard, since MacOS is BSD based.

jar method should be fine, or multios.zip (And extract)

run jd
Code:
java -jar JDownloader.jar

From download page, multios.zip is not available anymore. Moreover, it was for JD 0.9 while this thread is for JD2.

Maybe we all get different page, for me, "Other" is a link to http://goo.gl/eVMTiV which redirects to a direct link of WebInstallerJD1.exe (http://cdn4.appwork.org/JDI/WebInstallerJD1.exe)
;)

yep, I was going to say user-agent, and maybe also where you live, and maybe even which website you referred from.
