Default Is JDownloader now extracting Archives "within" Extracted folders?

What I mean is, has the behavior been changed that once it extracts the initial archive, does it now go into the extracted files and ALSO extract any archives WITHIN the extracted files?

If so, no no no... bad.

I ask cause I just saw this with my own eyes.
Was looking at the files in the extracted folder, and all of a sudden an archive "disappears".

Or did I download some virus exe that ran and moved/deleted files to another location to infect my system? Cause, I downloaded an old template that I used to have (one I own, but they removed from Themeforest so I can't get the last update). Though, the archive I saw disappear was named the folder I see now extracted. And yes, the archive was a RAR file which if I remember right is able to run internal exe's?

Inquiring minds want to know?

p.s. No my anti-virus didn't Quarantine the file, nor give me a notice either.

Yes. That is the default behavior. You can disable it entirely or specify blacklist patterns using the following 'Advanced Settings':

Code:
Extraction.deepextractionenabled
Extraction.deepextractionblacklistpatterns

P.S.: Default has been that way for as long as I can remember (Don't think has been changed recently).

That is weird, because I've always been using the latest version of JD2 portable, and no matter the version JD1 or post JD2 it's NEVER done this for me.

I do a LOT of downloading of apps, movies, tv shows etc. (I'm talking literally 1,000's of files a year.)
And that I know of, the program has ALWAYS downloaded and extracted the "main" archive, and then I have to go in later to extract internal archives.

It's been like this FOREVER for me...

BTW, when is your RAR extractor going to be updated?
It apparently can't extract the latest RAR's for like the last year+ or so...

Well we did not change anything - at least not intentionally.

You mean RARv5 support?

It will be updated but unfortunately I cannot give you any ETA.
At the moment you can only help yourself -->

No problem... Thanks for the program, has been a blessing for us poor folk to download good stuff. LOL
I consider "sharing" the modern version of the Library, just not government provided.
