How to change JDownloader icon?
Hi guys!
I'm Charles and I'm new here, so forgive me if I make mistakes while posting on this forum I was wondering: is it possible to change JDownloader's icon for macOS? Indeed, macOS Big Sur introduced a big change in icons, and because I like things to be tidy and organised, I would like JDownloader's icon to match the iOS style icons of Big Sur. However, I tried to change the icon of the app, of the .jar files, I even replaced the app.icns file inside the Contents of the JDownloader app (JDownloader2.app, I can't enter JDownloader2.jar) and still, the old icon appears in the Dock when JDownloader is running. Am I doing something wrong? Is it indeed possible to change the icon of the running JDownloader application? And if yes, what are the steps needed? Thank you a lot in advance for your help, Have a great and safe day, Kindest, Charles |

The Icon is set by JDownloader on runtime. Open About dialog, there you can find/open the JDownloader directory and then in themes folder, there you will find the icons

I found the culprit: it's jd_logo_128_128.png! I changed all the files in this list and 128x128 is the only one that caused a change:
Here is a screenshot of the change (I used the iOS icon for MyJDownloader): (I can't make the image appear in this post, sorry ^^") Thank you so much again! Charles Last edited by N3M1C0; 25.11.2020 at 17:52. |

Thanks for the feedback and you're welcome. We will update JD to automatically apply a *rounded corner* filter to the image
