there is some strange thing with some links, examples:

if you crawl pages for links or copy mega links to clipboard manually, jd says "invalid or missing decryption key" and not add part of the link after #.
if you copy paste mega link to notepad and copy it from notepad, nothing happens, so link is the same.
but if you clear clipboard and copy mega link from notepad once again, link are added fine, with part after #.
can you please check what is it.

Issue is caused because the link is not correct part of website/embedded, check htmls source

href=".../file/....." rel="noopener noreferrer">...://mega.nz/file/......</a>#......-.....

The key is after the # but a.) outside of href URL and b.) outside of a
So when you copy this to clipboard, only the text flavor is *complete* but the html flavor in clipboard is not but prefered in JDownloader.
when you copy it to somewhere else, the html flavor/part is lost and it's text only flavor now and then JDownloader
will prefer the text flavor
As the # is important, it should be URL encoded and thus part of the link itself.

JDownloader does find both flavor and I will try to optimize to also try the one with key

i believe there was no this html issue before, there was always links like this on kemono, where part after # was not a part of link, example

it was downloaded at november 2023 and was grabbed fine before, but now if i copy link, there is two packages, one is file and one is plugin defect. i can't remember this plugin defect thing before. and if i try to crawl page, jd ask me for password. but maybe kemono have changed site layout since then

maybe jd should always discard html flavor, like notepad do? especially if link copied manually, user want to copy text, not html. even if html secretly copying too.

@shinji2009: Thanks again for the followup. That I can answer very easy in the past the plugin did not support links without decryption key and thus only ignored them. Now those are supported due to being requested as feature, so you can later enter key. And that's why the link is being processed twice, once without password (and error) and once with the password.
I will
a.) add an option to ignore links without key, so they won't get added at all
b.) try to optimize linkcrawler to check if there is the link with password, so the one without won't be processed.
I will ping you once a.) is available and you can change plugin to ignore those links again (like it was in the past)

ignoring link without key is not an option at least for me. this way a lot of content can be missed. i'd rather want to get a lot of broken links to know that grabber missed something.

hi there!! i haven't come here before, I have never had any problems with the program, and I always have it updated but now...
I created for for the first time my account to put my review in a problem, and think is related with the thread, I Explain...
I have Many of links to direct files extracted with The other software (mipony) from a folder on a mega account. The issue is that mipony always put a encryption to the links when is extracted from a folder. Previously this was not a problem because Jdownloader catch the links perfectly like available, now... with the updates just catch a image file and a Script .js named "securebot"
can you please check that??

@Brainiac: Thanks for the feedback. Most likely the support for this format has been dropped with recent updates to the plugin. We will check and add it back

Maybe you want to additionally ask the developers of said other download software to update their output URL-format for mega.nz links.
That format is super old and looks to only have been used by us internally (?)
I've never seen any official mega.nz links with this format and you can also see that mega does not even provide "backward compatibility" via their website - when opening such links, they're just displayed as invalid.

@pspzockerscene yep that type of links is only compatible with this programs, don't work in the web browser, I thinks is internal for the apps.
