Default How to not delete part of the file name

Hi

JDownloader 2 seems to delete part of the file name, if it has _ or something separating it. I'm not sure how to explain it. some websites put their site's name before the file name, so it gets deleted. Can I cancel this?

Thanks

if you want to remove a given/known string from file name you can do that via package customiser rules

settings > packagiser > add rule
use filename, contains: known-string(.*) with regexchecked
then set
filename <jd:orgfilename:1>
done

JD will remove/cleanup file names yes.
settings > advanced settings > GeneralSettings.cleanupfilenames
be aware that this might have adverse effects on other components of JDownloader.

I think he wants the sitename NOT to be removed because he wrote "..some websites put their site's name before the file name, so it gets deleted. Can I cancel this?"

Just that logic doesn't make sense, we don't remove text we only remove invalid characters.

I think you're right and it usually happens with rapidgator links.
Here's a link **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
I thought it was a feature I could disable...

keep in mind that some websites do the renaming themselves, current plugins which have notification of this are, uploaded, datafile, shareonline and bitshare

no renaming taking place with provided link, Name in JD is identical to website display.

If you want to remove TwoDDL_ from the filename use the package customiser rule as I stated, replace known-string_ with TwoDDL_

you will need to add links again as package customiser works on entry into linkgrabber.

When I'm adding this link to JDownloader the name is right. When I start downloading, it deletes the "TwoDDL_" and keeps the rest of the name.
I just checked it again to make sure. I want to disable this, and leave the name as it is...

Cannot reproduce. Do you download via rapidgator or a multihoster?
Works fine in JDownloader and Browser.
Only way I can see that you are using a multihoster that changes filename.

Please provide a log, https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs
and post logID here

Please send example link and username/password from real-debrid to support@jdownloader.org and we will check it.
we do not strip anything so it must be real-debrid side or real-debrid plugin issue
