[mac] JD hangs - Mediafire
Hello,
Java and Jdownloader both updated to the latest versions. JD starts to freeze when syslog deamon starts to use all CPU, quitting JD or killing it still keeps the problem. Syslog apparently gets into an infinite loop: Thank you Quote:

I unfortunately couldn't cause the problem again as plugin was missing... I'm not sure if there's anything weird as I have just discovered that MediaFire is always having issues with JD.
Let's wait for the plugin to be back, and unti that, problem may be noted as solved. |

hmm no problems here .. but if you said a plugin was missing, do you mean a JD plugin (i would assume)
Try to restore JD maybe ... Be sure to set JD to use 32 bit versus 64 bit This is odd to me (org.lobobrowser.html.js.Window@17cb5...javascript.gen.c6@6b97436b, 0.0) as I have never seen such in any JD log. If this is a syslog, which actual log is tis out of in console? I do not see any such item(s) in my logs including the words "JD CAL" As this is also found in the SVN sets are you working with the Stable or the nightly builds? Could be something has also confused some memory or cache files somewhere try a reboot also if it doesn't clear up.

I restored JD but it didn't fix it, so I redownloaded and reinstalled it but now Mediafire files aren't parsed. Out of date... in the status. Those lines come from Syslog files in Log folder, I grabbed them when syslogd went into an infinite loop which couldn't stop even after quitting JD. I rebooted many times and the problem reappeared, but now I can't cause it again as MF files aren't parsed. Thanks Statter |

Odd indeed then ... as remi asked maybe an emergency log or another if when it happens again ... since you reinstalled have you manually tried to update JD with the command type instructions? some file within JD package needs to be run maybe from terminal ... I have not needed to urn it yet fortunately though.

What is the difference between launching from command line and from Apps folder?
In the GUI way it causes the usual error, but when I launch JD from CLI it just doesn't load MF plugin as it keeps telling that it didn't find links in the page, and then Decryptor out of date... Absolutely weird! Quote:

Someone on the JD dev team would have to address what is the differences between the two might be of course as I'm not one of the programers and I have not needed to do such to date on my system fortunately yet.
I would ask though how are you entering the command line (of course I know it is in terminal or should be)? The reason I ask is sometimes depending on the app or set up of the app one may need to in terminal actually get into the app package contents level (sometimes in various areas not always the same for different apps depending on their structure) and then issue the terminal commands from a selected content level with in the app. Have you tried to reset JD yet? you may wish to back up any files your downloading first on general principal though and replace them after a reset.

Please make sure not to use Java -X command line options on an Apple version of Java.
Did you type two slashes after application into the command line? If so, is there a reason? |
