When there are more than approximately 8500 items in the download list, the program becomes increasingly slow at starting and finishing downloads.

Please avoid packages with many download links inside. if you have large packages, please split them into smaller ones!

JDownloader can easily handle millions of links but you have to tweak your installation for that.

Please provide a screenshot of the about dialog of JDownloader.

Could you send me the downloadList zip from your JDownloader cfg folder?
depending on size just send to support@jdownloader.org or upload anywhere and send me the link. you may zip/encrypt it before if you wish.

I can also offer you a teamviewer session so we check this out together and I can check what is going on.
