I submitted a problem I had with a video on this forum in the past and you all kindly helped me.

There are now some different videos I would like to save, but I am having some problems getting JDownloader to recognize the videos so I would like some advice as to whether I am doing something wrong or if these videos can even be downloaded by your program (I understand some may not be).

Because of the virus, many film festivals have been sharing films online with visitors instead of hosting them in crowded theaters. For example, the "Made in Hong Kong" festival is offering several films for viewers to watch for free online. The list of movies can be found at **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** and **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** The films are available for anyone in the USA and Canada to stream for free until July 24.

When you click on any of the movie boxes, it takes you to an Eventive link such as **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** where you can watch a movie for free after signing in with a free Eventive account. This video is free for anyone in the USA and Canada to watch as many times as they wish until July 24.

I have tried to use JDownloader to download these videos without success after signing in with my Eventive account. Am I doing something wrong or are these videos not available to download using JDownloader? I have the most recently updated version of JDownloader 2 and my computer runs on Windows 10 and Java SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_162 (32 bit). I use McAfee for anti-virus and firewall protection.

Please let me know if I need to submit any further info to this forum in order to solve this question. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

JD can only easily download things from websites it has a plugin for or when a website is very simple in design and e.g. contains direct URLs to .mp4 files right inside its' html code.
Basically you're having two issues:
1. You're logged in via browser - JD is not --> Even if this was a "simple" website, JD would never be able to find the files.

2. No idea whether these streams might be DRM protected or which streaming technology is used.
Without an account I won't be able to help you.

Here something you could try:
Get the free browser addon "Video DownloadHelper" and see if it finds the streams --> You might be able to DL them with JD then.
