Default How to reset "download limit has been reached"?

I can't get auto-reconnect working with my router, so when "download limit has been reached", I switch the router power on and off by hand. But the status still stays at "download limit reached" even after I get a new IP, and I can't see how to clear it. I have to quit JD and start it again.

I tried: click downloads stop button and then start button, "resume", "force download start", "check online status", etc., the only thing that works is "reset" but then I lose the partially downloaded file. Am I missing some other way? Thanks...

That can only be reset by reconnect within JDownloader or restart of JDownloader
Did you try to record the manual reconnect with Liveheader recorder?

My router doesn't have a manual reconnect function in its web admin interface, so I have to restart with the power switch. There's a script for it here:
https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=68824
But so far I can't get it to work on my Mac.

I'll continue restarting JDownloader then. Thanks anyway. It would be nice to have a button for it, to save time, or maybe if you restart downloads it could check again automatically. But at least restarting works.

No, there's no disconnect or reboot or anything like that.

hmm very rarely do they not have reboot (slow) or disconnect wan/reconnect wan option (fastest)

does your router/modem have telnet or ssh ability ?

Yes, I was surprised to see that it doesn't have it! My old router did, but o2 just sent me a new one because of a VDSL network upgrade. It's an o2/Astoria Homebox 6441, the current standard "free" router of o2. There must be millions of them out there... it's configured to stay connected, and it just says:
Quote:
There really is no option for disconnect or reboot. It doesn't respond to telnet or ssh either. It does have some kind of obscure http access method that I can't find any documentation about, but as I said there's a Linux shell script at https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=68824
I've been adapting it for the Mac, I'll post it there when I get it working.

In any case, it would be nice if there was an easier way to clear the "download limit has been reached" in the case that auto-reconnect isn't working for some reason. But I can understand if it's a low priority.

Well, that much was obvious at least! Some other things, not so much...

Anyway, after a couple of days of poking around, I have a rewritten script that now works with Mac as well as Linux, and various other improvements. I've posted it in the thread above.
