Calculation of the sizes of files
Hi there,
Here an example of the estimations of the sizes of files downloaded on Youtube : As you can see, in the Linkgrabber : Audio : 387.84 MiB Video : 387.84 MiB **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** One downloaded : Audio : 38.7 Mb Video : 417 Mb **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** In the Download tab : Audio : 36.92 MiB Video : 397.84 MiB **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** I don't know if Youtube sends a wrong information for the audio file, or if Jdownloader has a wrong calculation in the Linkgrabber. It happens whatever the file, this one is just an example but I see this on every file I download on Youtube. Last edited by bohort; 09.03.2019 at 14:54. |

It depends on source format if JDownloader has to download the audio+video file(mp4) and then demux the audio stream or audio is available as seperate stream. In your case the audio stream got demuxed from video(mp4). so it first has to download the video and then demux the audio and then smaller filesize is shown in list. this is normal and only depends on selected format/variant
