I had the same problem and then I found out that I have a security program blocking the ffmpeg.exe process.

Disable third party security programs until you find the program that is causing the issue. Make sure that you update the JDownloader from the update button. Also try disabling the Antivirus just in case it is the cause. Go into the Antivirus Quarantine to check if the ffmegp.exe is blocked there. If the Antivirus is the issue then add the path to the antivirus exceptions list.

Update the thread once you find the problem.

The program is called InstallGuard.

It is for blocking new installations but it occasionally blocks the wrong program or process.

In this case it blocked the ffmpeg.exe that is used to merge the files.

Every time it blocks a process it adds it to a list. So I just cleared it from the list and now it runs normally.

So as a test the user should disable security to see if anything is blocking that process.

if you want to buy some software get 4 k downloader if you want to do a free soltion

use google crome download a plugin called link knlipper

then go to your youtube chaanol and scroll all the way down to putton of all the videos intot he cnannle then go into link knlipper and export to txt file then you go in tot the txt file and copy and paste them int j donlwoader add them it wioll add all the videos

it is few more steps but its not that hard to do

Why download speed sometimes is small when downloading 720p? From download-online sites I have max speed, but on JD is very slow. I don't have limits nowhere (like firewall etc).

JDownloader can download the video as MP4, and can download the thumbnail image, but doesn't appear to have the option to embed the thumbnail image as the "cover art" for the MP4 file.

This feature is fairly widely supported by file viewers and media players, so it'd be nice if JDownloader could do it, rather than me needing to download both and use a script to match them up and apply the thumbnails.

@Neurotoxin001: youtube wants you to watch the stream, not download it. therefore the bandwidth is limited to about 1.5x of the actual required bitrate of the video per connection.
