Files from youtube show the incorrect downloaded bytes size after reaching 100%. The downloaded bytes size varies from around 12% to 39%. For example, If the file has a size of 619 mb, it says I only downloaded 80 mb (12%), when it already reached 100%. If I download 1000 mb it says I downloaded only 390 mb (39%), after finishing. This varies from file to file, but always happen. This small size is wrong, as seen by verifying the size using right click -> properties on the files.

This causes another bug: the progress of ALL downloads is shown incorrectly. Example to illustrate this:

Lets says I just added 2 files from youtube to jdownloader, and those are the only files I have on the downloads tab. Let's suppose each file is 5 GB, for a total of 10 GB.
After I finish downloading the first file, j downloader will believe I only downloaded 600 mb instead of 5 GB, then the progress will say I only have 6% (600 MB of 10,000 MB approximately) instead of 50%, therefore jdownloader will also report a very innacurate time remaining for the package. This is way worse if you have 10, 20, 100, 1000 files added and enabled

Not sure if it matters but:
Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2
J Downloader 9 January CET 2023 (if I try to update it already says it's the latest version)
Java 11.0.8 (64bit/X86)

Notes:
This happens only for youtube. It doesn't matter if it's 480p or 720p or 1080p
This bug is also happening to a friend, who is using ubuntu and the latest version of jdownloader as well

I just have a question, it may take an approximate of 1 week to be fixed? or it's unknown and depends on multiple things and is not priority since the bug is not urgent to fix?

Is anyone else noticing random download speeds/issues? I'm bouncing from 0-35KB/s, I see incorrect/improperly displayed percentages when I drop down, things of this sort. I know YT has had some random on/off issues lately so this might just be another one, but wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar anomalies.

For what it's worth, I tried these links on another app (4k Video Downloader) and, well, instead of seeing videos downloading I se multiple lines of random characters/wingdings. Again, gonna guess that YT is doing something odd again. I'll wait patiently for whatever fix comes, whenever.

An pspzockerscene. YT-Problem.Das Problem von HLX ist bekannt. Trotz all dem war/bin ich der Meinung die sogenannte falsche Darstellung der Bits verstanden zu haben. Das Programm stoppt nach 90% des bereits gedownloadeten und setzt anschließend den Download neu an um die restlichen "bits" zu downloaden. Daher werden nur die restlichen Bits dargestellt. Wenn HLX tatsächlich die Datei anschauen würde, müsst er feststellen, dass ungefähr die zu Anfang errechneten Bits tatsächlich auf der Festplatte hat. In meinen Augen war es durch Programmänderung des JD den download von YT zu optimieren. Man erkennt wie das Programm eine Methode anwendet um den Download erfolgreich zu machen!

Das vom User beschriebene Problem wurde behoben daher mein Post.
Die Dateigröße, die JD anzeigte war komplett falsch.
Der Bugfix wird, wie in meiner letzten Antwort beschrieben, mit unserem nächsten CORE-Update veröffentlicht.

When attempting to download the video, when it gets near the end, it appears to loop back to the beginning and shows a weird state where it thinks it's 99% done, but also 1% done as seen here: https://imgur.com/a/W8JwI3E

Once it gets close to finishing (99.35%), it appears to restart with 98%/1% again and repeats itself in a loop, never finishing the download.

Yeah I can confirm that. My download speed is capped at 800 KiB/s for the video part and the audio at 30 KiB/s.

As note, NewPipe is the only downloader that works as before, youtube-dl won't even start the download.

it is about youtube download speed has decreased into less than 70kib/s, from what I searched for I learnt that it is youtube problem of changing its protocols, and to make sure, I download a file from another host and it was perfectly fine.

-Am I the only one having this problem right now?
-Or Will there be an update soon enough to solve this problem?

Hi All. Heres a update from here.

Youtube is still acting strange here. Some video downloads downloads run fast around 900KiB/s plus which is normal here and some creep along at 30KiB/s to 60KiB/s.

Dont remember if the speed has to do with the non DASH videos or the DASH videos..
I only download and run MP4's here on this old computer.

Hi there,
yesterday I tried downloading a youtube video as I always do.
Unfortunately, at first the download speed was terrible and seemed capped at about 360KB/s. Once it approached about 90%, the speed dropped to ~30 KiB/s.
The problem exists on several devices and when downloading from other services, the download speed matches my internet connection. Downloading from ssyoutube.com worked at full speed too.

I searched the subreddit and found similar reports of youtube download speeds capped at 360KiB/s / 30 KiB/s so this seems to be a more widespread problem.
