Default Invalid Download Directory

Hi,

I've searched the forum for simple answers to this problem. The answer (for me at least) is here, but is hard to find because there are so many threads on the topic, and most of them have seemingly complex answers.

I was experiencing this issue for about a month, with YT videos. But one of your threads had the answer: it's not a problem with the download directory at all, that must be just the error message being thrown up. It's simply that the file name is too long.

All you have to do is re-paste the link, shorten the filename, and all is well.

thanks.

I just experienced this (misleading error message text) and you can test it yourself with the following YouTube download:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

As RonCords states, the problem is that the download directory name is too long (probably after it's appended to the <jd:packagename> directory string).

Hi
This problem will be fixed in the future but for now you'll have to manually change the path or the filename.
This is no YouTube specified issue.
