Which OS are you using?
Are you using any kind of browser addon from NordVPN or only the application installed on your system?
In any case:
First just turn on the NordVPN software without doing any config changes in JD, then download a test-file and check if the
IP displayed in JD matches the one from your VPN.
Also make sure that the VPN is working systemwide by checking your IP in browser e.g. using the following website: wieistmeineip.de
If that's the case, you do not have to change any proxy settings as long as your VPN application is running.
If that's not working, check the NordVPN FAQs/docs - I know that they do provide SOCKS proxys which you can simply add to the list of proxys in JD.
The required settings/ports should be listed in the NordVPN docs...

Only the one I've linked at the beginning of this post, no.
...and that one is quite basic.
As explained, most of all times it's enough to just turn on whichever VPN software you're using.
