Default Newsfeed plugin

How does the newsfeed plugin collect its data from the feed? If I'm creating an RSS feed for use with JDownloader, how should I structure the contents of it so that the links *and* password (if one is needed) will be in the right places?

Thanks!

click on the rss feed icon on the address bar , after that u "will see a drop down menu" ex; subscribe to rss 2.0 , select it and it will redirect u to the feed page. copy the exact address of the feed from the address bar and add it to jdownloaders newsfeed.

Freeloader i think you didn't understand him!
He wants to know what he can do that a feed, made by him, would be recognized by the Newsfeed plugin!

@jphastings
I can't help you but one thing is...i think actually you can't get a passwort with the Newsfeed Plugin.
Passwords are only in the fields if you insert links of supported sites and this hasn't got anything to do with the Newsfeed plugin
