Actually 12340 is exactly what's showing in my JD.

Just updated and it's showing 12379.

I have had some problems again with FileSonic. The Premium Account is no longer showing any date but says Unlimited for both expiry date and Traffic left. Their website does show the correct date of 18/9.

Default More Filesonic problems

OK. If I try to download Filesonic files, this is what happens: I can download one or two and then I get the endless loop of "Download session in progress."

(If I check the 5 minute option in Settings, for some reason I got a 1 hour 40 minute wait time countdown. This could still be in effect.)

If I go to a browser and plug in the url, I still get "Download session in progress."
After about two hours (maybe 1 hour 40 minutes?) it goes back, but this is ridiculous.

Opening and closing JDownloader doesn't do anything.

I'm getting a message that they're having a server problem in jD (for Premium), but you can download directly from the Filesonic site.

It may be broken yet again!

Hi,
sharingmatrix(free/regular) plugin used to have resume capability, but now it's unable to do that. Without that, I simply cannot download anything larger than 1 MB, because the connection is so unstable (or is there timer countdown for free users?). Does anyone have a fix for this?

@Blob will reenable resume, thought was only a server error that free user can resume
@FSchmertz: what does not work? expire date and traffic is unlimited because its not activated in plugin, but plugin works fine though, at least for me.
There is no traffic limit as far as i know.

There is slight error in filesonic plugin:
Example links:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Link grabber creates the following names:
package name:
Spoiler:
Final.Destination.2000.PL

and all the files have the same name:
Spoiler:
Final.Destination.2000.PL.480

There is a little confusion with more than 1 simultaneous downloads per host (premium) - with 2 downloads/host:
First and second packs are started - the second reports: file already exists and stops, then third reports the same (because first didn't start yet). When first pack starts then file is correctly renamed to full name:
Spoiler:
Final.Destination.2000.PL.480p.BRRip.XviD.AC3-EvolutionSG.part1.rar
.
And the next pack (4th) will start because it's name is not in conflict with 1st pack which is already renamed to full name.
Manual restart for stopped packs is needed.

So problem is: full names should be already given in link grabber.

Problem not exists when only 1 download per host is active.

There is no way for JD to get full filename! will ask filesonice if they can provide full filename anywhere on page.

Aarghh...
I see: they already shortened full name in <p class="fileInfo filename">

Maybe jD could parse full name from:
<title>Download Final.Destination.2.2003.PL.480p.BRRip.XviD.AC3-EvolutionSG.part2.rar for free - FileSonic, fast and easy file sharing.</title>

- of course with all these filesonic changes it may be changed as well

Default Cool!

When I open jdupdate.jar, it keeps asking if I want to make a backup.
I hit OK and when I do it again, it asks me again.

I think my problem may be with filesonic, in that suddenly they've stopped recognizing my Premium account. I contacted Premium support, but I haven't received email back from them in response to any of my emails in over a month.

I was just wondering why filesonic doesn't work at all for me. It just goes through this endless loop of connecting, wait 10 secs, connecting, wait 29 sec, connecting, wait 1 secs until it just says Download Incomplete never having downloaded a thing? Which is pretty frustrating given how many Filesonic links I seem to be coming across lately.
I'm not even able to download them though the browser I just get 504 Gateway Time-out or “An Error Has Occurred” WTF are they doing is it just me experiencing this?

Of course, each time you start jdupdate.jar, it will ask the same thing.
OK means continue (wthout backup), why did you do it again?

@Quickblood: 504 means server error. im sure they will fix this as soon as possible.
@FSchmertz: please check if website is working normally or you also have issues like Quickblood.
First try to contact me via pm and send me account data, then i can check in JD.
Only contact Filesonic if a bought account does not work on filesonic.com homepage.

Why?
Because it says I don't have a backup.
Because it says my last backup was in Dec 1969.
Then if I hit Cancel, it closes and it doesn't download anything.

STILL have the problem.
Downloaded four files (with 12 minute countdowns) then went to a new package and it's now in the endless "Download in progress" 10 minute loop.

NOT SOLVED

your plugin is not up2date. cause the 10 mins waiting loop was an old bug fixed with latest plugin update.
close jd and all java process
make sure write protection of jd folder is removed and give every user full access to the folder in security tab.
then start jdupdate.jar

if that does not help, visit our supportchat and we will do a teamviewer live session.

I'm not a premium user only a free one. To be honest while I had considered becoming a premium user based on how often I come across their links, given that I have not successfullyy downloaded a single file from their free service either through Jdownloader or thefilesonicc site, I'm just not gonna bother with these folks.

I mean I've been unhappy with some of these sites before but at the very least I've managed to download something.

Default FileSonic free download not possible

Since the new hoster module update yesterday of the FileSonic module there is no download possible anymore...

Steps:

1) jD starts with a 30 seconds wait period
2) tries to connect... normally not possible
3) starts another 30 seconds wait period
4) tries to connect... loads 130 bytes and stops...
5) starts another 30 seconds wait period
6) tries to connect...
and so on

I suppose these guys of FileSonic are just not interested that someone uses a download program... and with these kind of people I would NEVER buy a premium account, NEVER

RapidShare and Megaupload are kind of fair with free downloaders, but the rest of these companies are just pure nonsense :(

Can someone verify filesonic are having premium problems. Free service works fine but when I login to their site and click on a download link it goes to site but says page not found while the actual site template etc is loaded. Also in JD the downloads don't start they are all 130Bytes and it says download incomplete.

Thanks

I think you should report that to filesonic themselves. We can't solve filesonic's issues.

Default filesonic.com is filesonic.net?!!

It seems that filesonic "lost" the .com domain and it's filesonic.net, now. If that's not a spoof/phishing attempt...

for temporaly solving...

edit your "hosts" file

Windows 95/98/Me c:\windows\hosts
Windows NT/2000/XP Pro c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Windows XP Home/Vista/Windows7 c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

write new line:

78.140.176.158 www_filesonic_com

save it. (_ means .)

restart JD

filesonic links are working again. (in premium mode)

EDIT by Think3r: Thanks for the feedback.

Exclamation Latest update re-broke free filesonic?

After I updated with this morning's update, linkgrabber is showing Filesonic files as 100% Offline, even though they show fine in Firefox.

Changelog shows that things regarding Filesonic were changed.

Is there a way to force links to the downloader section? Clicking continue from linkgrabber just deletes them.

I'm running 10.4.11 on a 1GHz TiG4.
