I am running JDownloader2 and it crashed and I am trying to recover the downloadList.
I have tried renaming the most recent downloadList#.zip to downloadList.zip and it didn't work and reverted back to a much earlier state where there were as many items in the downloadList that has been added since the last restore-from-a-full-backup. I've also tried saving a copy of the "cfg" folder elsewhere, deleting everything from the "cfg" folder, starting JDownloader2 so that it would like "reset" everything, and then put the files back to see if it will read the renamed downloadList.zip file correctly to no avail. It ends up being completely empty instead. I've also tried unzipping the last known good downloadList#.zip to a temporary folder, and then tried to copy and paste all of the files in there to a "downloadList" folder, and then tried to re-zip the "downloadList" folder by creating downloadList.zip from inside that "downloadList" folder so that it would have all of the files inside downloadList.zip to try and get JDownloader2 to read from that downloadList again, and once again, it will only revert back to a much earlier state of the downloadList. So I am not really sure what else I can try and do. Attached is the crash log. The zip file of the "cfg" folder is coming shortly. *edit* My "cfg" folder is too large, even when zipped, to be attached. Same with any of the downloadList#.zip.backup files as they're > 50 MB, and as a result, I can't attach them here. Also, some of my downloadList#.zip.backup -- when I make a duplicate copy of those files, and rename them from *.zip.backup to *.zip, and then try to unzip them with 7-zip, it says "Unexpected end of data". I have one downloadList#.zip.backup that when I try to extract it with 7-zip, it doesn't give me this error message, so I am trying to get JDownloader2 to be able to load the list in from this downloadList#.zip.backup. Just copying and renaming the file from downloadList#.zip.backup to downloadList.zip doesn't work. I appreciate any help from the team in regards to this issue. Thank you. I shared the file with support@jdownloader.org, which should automatically generate and sent a shared file email to them. Thank you.

@alpha754293: No email received :( But not required. The crash log is from issue native when extracting archive, has nothing to do with not being able to load the list and I think it's due to not enough memory and large lists.
Please start your JDownloader and provide a screenshot of the about dialog, see https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...tion-directory

The system itself has 32 GB of RAM installed, so if it shouldn't be running out of memory. (However, I do see that Java/JDownloader2 says that it only has 247.5 MB Max. Not really sure why that is the case.) Your help is greatly appreciated. *edit* re: email This is what I got back: "Your email to our support system could not be accepted in full. The following file(s) were rejected by our system: untitled Please try re-sending your attachment using one of the following allowed attachment types: doc|docx|xml|png|gif|jpg|jpeg|zip|rar|pdf|txt|log|mp4|mkv|7z|packagizer|filter|ejs." So I've resent the email manually, with a link to my cfg.7z which is hosted on my Google Drive. Please let me know if you have received it (as I still think that there is something wrong with it when I try to start/open downloadList. It shouldn't be reverting back to a much earlier state and from googling what I should do in a situation like this where I take the latest downloadList#.zip and rename it to downloadList.zip -- it should've fixed the issue, but it isn't, unfortunately.) Your helps is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Last edited by alpha754293; 16.01.2025 at 09:31. |

@alpha754293: I've answered by mail. Please replace 32bit bundle with 64bit bundle and check again. Most likely the very limited max memory and large list is the cause of your issues
