403 forbidden is correct, there is nothing to see there

I don't have either of those on my machine, this literally started happening only yesterday, and I have installed nothing at that time. Any way to troubleshoot this in the logs ?
Are Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro safe ? I really do not like installing anything I am not 100% sure of.

I may try running an S&D full immunization/scan and see if that helps, meantime, how do I troublehsoot this ?

Thank you

Tried clearing logs + removing all from tmp directory and restart. Same.
Tried disabling AV shields temporarily, shows "New JDownloader version found" but then the same "JDownloader cannot connect to update.appwork.org

How can this only start happening now ? I am very confused !

OK so ran the full update/immunize/scan using S&D 2.8, it found one issue with a browser BHO. Re-opened JD2 et voila - it is now accessing the update site and updating. The only extensions which seem to have been removed from Google Chrome are :-
Tampermonkey
I Don't care about cookies

I reinstalled both, so will report back here if one/both of these are to blame when next updates to JD2 are due.

@dageeza: Thanks for the follow up! Glad to hear that you could solve it by yourself
