Default Request qooy.com decrypter

Request qooy.com decrypter.

Example:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

This gives 6 links on various hosts. In this example all are dead except Megaupload.

No captchas to solve.

Obviously because it didn't work when I pasted in the link. I'd never seen that kind of link before so I thought it might be a new /obscure one.

Retrying it it seems that JD did try to decrypt the link, but couldn't find any.
Didn't even give the "dead link" icon, showed nothing at all.
Going to the site in a browser, there are working downloads.

So it's there, but doesn't "work fine". So I'll make an bug report.

Where are installed decrypters listed in JD? I can't see any in the "Hosts" list.

The description of this subforum says:
Quote:
Decrypter-Plugins
Use this forum for bugreports concerning our decrypterplugins.
Just ask if you want a new decrypter added to JD.
Change that before you criticise me.

But it seems logical and appropriate to me to discuss decrypters in the Decrypter forum.

Otherwise would be better to have a subforum only for requesting new hosts and decrypters rather than expecting people to work out which other forum it should go in.

You've indeed stumbled upon a contradiction here.

In jD v.0.4 there is a list of decrypters. In newer versions that list no longer exists.

How do customers know whether a decrypter (if they already understand the concept) is supported by jD or not?

Note that the forum description text also says :-

In the JD folder there is a "decrypter" folder with 381 "class" files.
The filenames are cryptic themselves but if I grep through them I can find "qooy.com" mentiond in 2 of them. So that's one backdoor method.

But there really should be at least a list available in the settings.

That's exactly what I cited. It implies that suggested decrypters should be asked for in THIS forum. It certainly does not tell you to go elsewhere.

@Gweilo
Nope, we had reasons to remove the list
Also if you wanna check ig there is already a decrypter available for the site, just try to add the link.
If JD takes it directly and a decrypter module opens we have a decrypter, if jd wants to parse from the site (it asks you) we don't have a decrypter for that site

A decrypter forum does no longer make any sense if customers don't find any traces of "decrypter" in jD's settings.

@psp

I would like to know the reasons for removing that decrypters list. I'm sorry if you already told me, but I forgot.

@remi:
because we want to keep things simple. IF someone wants to know if jd is able to decrypt ... try it.

I think we can close this here.
