Unhappy Connections problems. - Timeout 5 minutes

Hi

I have problems that on one file often occurs "Connections problems".
With timeout 5 minutes.

Its too much. Because sometimes it happens after downloading next 8-12%.
But usually after even 1-3%. So its downloading like forever with 5 minute timeout.

I searched for many timeouts and waittime settings in advanced tab.
But can't find the right one that is behind "Connection problems."

Please help me with this. Cuz this high timeout is killing it. Something that can download in 1-2 hours prolongs to download in... 6 hours+?

Something on your system/ISP/remote side kills the connection
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

It's not possible to change this timeout because lower timeout also mean faster retry and may cause DDOS to the service. There is no way to know if the issue is caused locally/remote/isp or server issues.
You should find cause of the connection kills and solve it

Can you please re-consider changing the 5 minutes time out?
I'm on an average internet speed and this is really killing the download process. I have to manually stop the download then restart it many times.

5 minutes is just waaaaay too long and unnecessary.

Thanks.

Hi,
this is not planned.

Please either change it in the JDownloader source code or disable/enable your connection on OS-level to force a retry.
