Please create a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs
and post shown logID here. I've checked changes and could not find any change that could cause this, so maybe a *wild* plugin. With log I can tell more

How many downloads/connections to you use? Where do you download from? Free/Premium?
Can you please create smaller log? Start JDownloader, wait for cpu issue to happen and then create new log. Also please provide a screenshot of the about dialog of JDownloader.

Log shows lots of crawling activity of pinterst/facebook. you can see rotating icon in bottom right corner
That can easily cause lots of cpu usage. Also please provide a screenshot of the about dialog in JDownloader when cpu usage is high.

To me it looks like high download speed + https connection
KernelTask is very high usage. Can you check if http://cdn8.appwork.org/speed.zip also causes high cpu usage?

You can try to set Settings-Advanced Settings-GeneralSettings.maxbuffersize
to 2048

From screenshots I would say high cpu usage is caused by highspeed https download
cpu usage correlates with speed of download
