Default Does xubster.com allow multiple simultaneous downloads?

I just paid for a subscription to xubster. I have my premium account in JD2 all set up.

As far as I can tell, xubster is limiting me to *one* file download at a time, and at a ridiculously slow speed - about 200-300 kbs.

At this rate, it will take about 2-3 days to download 20gb, which is funny because they say they have a 30gb per day limit.

Am I doing something wrong? Or does xubster really limit their users to single downloads only?

(I'm asking because it also seems that they don't respond to emails.)

You can try with browser, and tell us if the plugin needs to be adjusted.

I tested with 5 downloads parallel in Browser without any problem. And the Download rate is 1,7 - 2,0 MB/s.

Yes, it does do multiple downloads in the browser, but not in JD2.

Download speed varies greatly, from 300kbs to 2mbs.

And as discussed on other threads, the daily allowance reported in JD2's "daily traffic left" is completely inaccurate.

I'm doing my xubster downloading in the browser for now, but I thought you would want to know.

Which other thread? Have you uploaded the log?
Speed is not controlled by JD except if you setup speed limit.
I have adjusted max sim dl to 5, please try again.

I understand that speed is not controlled by JD2. Xubster is just terrible with speed fluctuation. For the last 18 hours, I have been getting about 10-12 kbps per file on a paid subscription.

tony2long, you said you have adjusted max sim dl to 5. That is what I am currently seeing.

Is there a reason you can't adjust to 20 sim DL's? At these terrible speeds, it would be helpful if at least I can have more downloads running at the same time. That way, I could have twenty files downloading at 10-12 kbps instead of just five, basically "increasing" speed 4x.

Is 20 possible?

I've changed it to unlimited (=20).
Keep in mind that you might get unknown errors or 503 errors if you have too many connections.

Thank you for making that change, but ... strange ... I am still getting only five simultaneous DLs from xubster, even though I set my "max sim DLs" pref to 12. I'll try again tomorrow and see if it's any different.

They have upped the limit to 1TB and some times reduced speed is because some windows service will be eating your data, like DoSVC (stop the service from this guide **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** ) and BITS.
