Default rapidshare 30kbs

i have been using jdownloader for years. its the only download manager i use when downloading from file hosting sites. i was aware of the 30kbs restriction on rapidshare. this morning, i was downloading some files from rapidshare and as usual it was excruciatingly slow with maximum speed of 30kbs. however, i decided to download one of the files using firefox's download manager and i am surprised that the average speed is about 160kbs. what is wrong with jdownloader? it seems like the restriction is only applied to jdownloader.

nar firefox calculates speed differently.

you need to time how long for x MB / y seconds and then calc the real speed. A lot of browsers only start the timer once you saved to disk, like if theirs a dialogue box asking what action to open/save etc then you find locations to save. But it has already started downloading minute or so prior to that (cache directory)!. Which puts out the average speed. Also some browsers do not calc rapidshare rate limit well, they burst at fast rates for short bursts of time and then nothing for long period. This should give you an average of 30KB/sec.

I also got a speed of more than 30 kbit/s.
By experience i found out that this incredible speed exists when you download small files.

as explained they send short bursts of fast data, then NOTHING for longer periods but it averages 30KB/sec for the total file transfer.
