Group all files in only one package
Hello
I would like to add all my downloaded files in only one directory. So I went to the Parameters tab, and for the "directory download" ("répertoire de téléchargement" in french, sorry I don't know the real english names), I navigate in my directory, and I uncheck the checkbox "sub-directory by package" ("sous-répertoire par paquet" in french). But we I add multiples packages in the Collecting files tab ("Collecteur de liens" in french), every one is on a sub-directory. Si I have to select all and right click then Other > Move on a new package, because it's not done automatically. Just below, I check the "group the alone files in a "Various package" ("Grouper les fichiers seuls dans un paclage 'Fichier divers'" in french), but it's seems it's not working. I search if there is another option to do this, but I didn't find anything. If I open the properties of a package, near the "Save as" ("Enregistrer sous" in french) input I click on the "Modify the path" button, the checkbox "sous-répertoire par paquet" is always checked. I check again the same checkbox in the Parameters tabs, it's unchecked. So maybe I don't understand something. But I cannot do what I would like to do : to have only one package, with all my links, instead of x packages for x links. I hope it's a good explanation of my question... Tell me if not. Thank you for your help. |

You've got to disable the default *subfolder* rule, see
https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...ackage-feature this rule will auto create subfolder for new added packages. Disable it and then new added packages no longer will have their own subfolders

Instead of Code:
c:/mydownloads/<jd:simpledate:dd.MM.yyyy>/<jd:packagename>/ Code:
c:\mydownloads\<jd:simpledate:yyyy-MM-dd>\<jd:packagename>\ If you're using this feature and your folder is populated by more than just a couple of pending downloads spreading several weeks or months, it becomes blatantly obvious why. Apart from its apparent advantages in cases like this, it's also the world-wide comprehensible, appropriable and first of all unambiguous international date format. BTW, not sure if using slashes for the above given example is mandatory to provide cross platform applicability, but at least the (probably by far most popular) Windows version of JD2 seems to use backslashes everywhere as folder delimiters by default, while accepting both variants. Accordingly, the support pages should take account of that in general. BTW 2, any empty folders originally created by JD should also be removed by JD when not in use anymore. Cheers, and happy subfoldering! (... or rather, not ... in case of the op. Salut! =) |

Delimiter is auto corrected by JD/Java but you're right about the example for windows (c: as drive letter). You're also right about better date format. I've updated the wiki article and also linked the simpledateformat documentation
