Default Find out public IP via My.Jdownloader?

When I look at my.JDownloader I see my local LAN IP as "known IP". Can I find out my public IP via my.JDownloader as well?

Yes, but you have to change Settings-Advanced Settings-MyJDownloaderSettings.directconnectmode
to *Allow LAN/WAN...* mode and restart JDownloader. Then JD will query it's public IP

What is direct connect mode?! I dont understand why quering the public ip requires a port forwarding?

JD can acces a website to query its ip, even the my.JD server needs to know the IP anyway ....

thx

Direct-Connection mode -> depending on mode, the client(app, webinterface..) has either to use the relay server to connect to your running JDownloader instance or can access it directly within same LAN or even directly via WAN. Of course MyJDownloader API Server knows the WAN IP but there is no place in Webinterface to access that information. That's why I suggestet to change direct-connection mode to "Allow LAN/WAN..." and then the external IP will be shown listed in Webinterface of MyJDownloader Settings as well.

Is there a better way for this by now? The suggested method here doesn't work for me. Maybe download a website that contains the IP? I've already tested **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**, but JDownloader refuses to touch it.
