Default Fileserve 10 minutes loop

Start having this problem today from fileserve.com

The problem is that when downloading a file (free user), it will ask to wait 10 minutes. After jdownloader wait, it said "incomplete download" and then begins a new countdown... which then make me wait 10 mintues again... cycles continues.

Note: fileserve will ask to wait 10 minutes regardless if I haven't download from that site in an hour or so...

Ok, so I've had this problem as well.
I tried downloading in browser but for some reason I get a "Your IP address is already downloading" which is not true :|

Anyway, tried with proxy and after captcha got a "404 Page not found".
It also said:
Quote:
The file or page you tried to access is no longer accessible.
Become a Premium user and get access to millions of files at unlimited speeds and unlimited storage for your files. You can purchase a Premium Account.
Your account will be activated immediately.
Would this mean the file is simply deleted but their API still says "online" or could I actually download that file if I buy a premium?
Pretty unclear...

If a file is removed it normally says so "The file was removed ...", but now it says different?
Anyone knows the answer?

I'm having some of the same troubles as the OP with the fourth part of this file. I would've figured that if the link was taken down or not working or something that there'd be some clear indication right up front of that, but instead it looks perfectly fine and available for download like the other five links. I think Raztoki may be correct in saying that it's probably just a *hopefully only temporary* Fileserve issue, albeit a strange one, though:

Question FileServe Download Problems

Hi folks,

For the last couple of days ... I am Not able to download from FileServe (FS), as a Free User ...

I am getting the message Download Cancelled and then the 10 Minute Wait Timer ... after it goes thru it's 10 Minutes, it starts all over again and the same Error.

Now the only thing that I have done differently since this Problem started, I Stupidly installed Internet Download Manager (IDM) since a friend suggested it ... I just wanted to play aorund with it and experiment ...

Well, right-away, I hated the IDM because it was So Intrusive ... so, I unistalled it using the "Revo Unistaller" Free version ... and I opted to remove it Completely ... Option 4, which is a little more Aggressive Removal ... then I also Opted to remove ALL Registry Points ... which to my Surprsie were about 320 Plus ... so, that is the other Reason I HATE IDM ... why so many Registry inputs.

Now, the reason I mention this ... since I am Not that Computer Savvy, I wonder if IDM install and unistall has Clobbered something in my system.

Q1: Is this FS Download Problem Normal? Has FS also started limiting or preventing Downloads like RapidShare (RS)?

If so, then my JDownaloder is working A-OK!

Q2: If not What is causing my Problems?
Has my IDM install and unistall screwed upp my Internet Settings and what not?

BTW, I just tried Mipony with the same FS file and the same darn result ... can not Connect to the Gate or something like that Error Message.

EDIT: I posted this under this Category, because when I searched the Forum for this problem I saw someone had reported in this Thread ... but it was for Premium FS user. If I have posted this in the wrong section, please move it to where it is supposed to got. Appreciate the Help!

Thanks,

G!

1.We didn't limit/prevent downloads, rapidshare.com did/does this for freeusers!

2.The section is okay.
To help you we need example links.
Also, did you try downloading via browser?
Did that work?

Hi pspzockerscene,

1) On Limiting ... I meant if FileServe had put the limit ... like RapidShare has done.

2) I did try downloading using my Browser ... Internet Explorer ... and I could not ... the download would start and then abruptly show finished ... but file was only 0KB ... then Free User Timer would start ... you know the message that you have to wait "600 Sec" ...

3) I just sent you the Problem Link (only 1 link).

Thanks again for your Help!

G!

It's a fileserve server error.
Note that whenever a file isn't downloadable via browser it also won't work in JD because JD works like your browser.
After the next update JD will show a correct errormessage for this error.

Angry Similar but different problem with fileserve

similar problem for me, it started about 2 days ago:

1. when i use jdownloader it says "Disconnect? waiting 4:38 mins", it doesn't even ask for chaptcha recognition

2. and when i use the browser, it asks for captcha, i put the captcha in, it counts down from 20 down to 0, after counting down, it keeps at 0 without showing the green "slow download" button!!

:outch:

So via browser it also doesn't work?
Then JD is correct.
Disconnect means that a link of the hoster which JDownloader tried to access is offline/reaches a timeout.

Yesterday I started my FS downloads.
4 links in a row downloaded in JD without a problem. All of a sudden, 5th link I get the error message in JD as well as for every file after that.

This morning, I tried the link in browser. Fill out Captcha and download starts perfectly.
JD log says it's not receiving the Captcha...
Either there is something wrong with FS website that doesn't always show the Captcha or the Captcha comes up a bit slower (Google's error or just slow connection with FS) and that makes JD fail.
Is that a possibility?

I had to reproduce the problem as my PC was shut down earlier today.

I started FS links in JD. First I get a 3 sec wait time, then 7 mins.
Then it says "Connecting...", again a 3 sec wait time and then it resets to the 7 mins counting.
And again...
Log says: "There seems to be an error, no captcha is shown!" yet, in browser I get the Captcha, wait 20 sec and can download the file.

Ex. Links (the ones I tried with this error):
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Log:
http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/77229

Yesterday (and other times) I get a different error with the red sign "Fatal Error" but this might be after JD has been trying and failing to download after xx times.

Also, once 1 link has failed (Fatal Error) the rest will all fail as well?!
It's like JD suddenly changes it settings making it unable to download from FS from that point on.

<offtopic>
To make a backup:
Is it good enough to make a backup (ctrl+b) and copy the latest zip archive in the backup folder?
So once I reformatted my PC I can just put the zip archive back and then in JD select "File > Restore JD"
Or do I need to use different method and copy other files?
</offtopic>

For me it works fine, also your log doesn't contain any out of date errors.

As a backup, you can backup the whole JDownloader installfolder as it contains everything needed to start JD (+config).

In this log I didn't have an out of date error but the log does say "There seems to be an error, no captcha is shown!"
Why is that? In browser I do get the Captcha and last night the first few links were ok, then all of sudden JD doesn't get the Captcha anymore?

If I get an out of date or fatal error I'll post a new log but there is a problem somewhere along the line.

I didn't update anything either.

Thx, it's an easy backup then

EDIT: after being away from my PC I forgot to turn off the downloads but when I came back the Fatal Error was back!

Example links are the same as previously posted.

New log:
http://jdownloader.net:8081/pastebin/77252

Again, links download perfectly in browser.

@Fo4RaX
FATAL error usually only happens when you're away, JD asks for captchas and you don't enter them!

That would be the most logical thing to think if it weren't that I'm using CaptchaTrader and have enough credits

FYI: last night I let JD download FS links again and they all worked.
I'm really running out of ideas why sometimes it works and other times it doesn't.

Hmm actually upon writing this I'm starting to think the problem may lie with CaptchaTrader!
Either their servers are overloaded or there aren't enough people solving Captchas at that time.
But then again, why does my JD log say that it doesn't receive Captchas?

It can't be a captchatrader problem because plugins only show plugin errors.
Well i extended the logger for this part...
