Possible to add resume function for twitch downloads?
So a few weeks ago I asked about the two 720P qualities of twitch which prompted one to be renamed to chunked, which is the source file.
I've been comparing qualities, the regular 720P is absolute garbage now and the source chunked quality is what I want, I've managed to grab a few without them failing (even an 8 hour one) but it's still a fairly unreliable download with that quality. Since the way it downloads is grabbing hundreds of 5-second long parts and then combining them with FFMpeg, is there a way to make failed twitch downloads resumable? Maybe an option to just download all the tiny video files and only combine them when it finishes so that it can check/skip what's already downloaded? |

Ah cool thanks, also I.. I don't know if this will help in anyway, I just managed to download one that failed multiple times, I just successfully downloaded it, the only difference is I had firefox running at the same time.
The 3 or 4 I downloaded a couple weeks back in source quality also ran to completion without incident while firefox was on, that's either quite the coincidence or it's somehow improving stability. |
