Default For Jdownloader to support uploading as well :D

Like the title suggests, I want Jdownloader to be able to support uploading as well preferrably on MU and resumable to boot.

MU's Megamanager actually can do this as well as being resumable, but it gives me sh1tty upload speed. About 5-15 kb/s instead of 40-50 kb/s on my browser. Not only that, for some reason it also affects my download speed, and sometimes even halving it.

Unfortunately, using my browser to upload has its problems as well, it does not try to reconnect to MU, once a problem happens. So you have to start again at the beginning, which is a pain.

I hope you guys can implement this, it will greatly help MU users like me that also avidly use JD.

Thanks in advance guys! :D

A jUploader could come, but first jDownloader should be developed. Please, have a look at jD's Roadmap.

Thanks for that!

I didn't know, that there are many things planned for JD. Good luck to the developers!

Well mine, is pretty much a wish for now. I'm just hoping they could implement it after they're done with JD. :D

@pauldmps
1.Uploading is different than downloading
2.JD is made for downloading
3.JD has already so many features
4.Its jDOWNLOADER, NOT jUPLOADER!
5.Making/maintaining uploading-plugins also takes time that we don't have...

Understand it and use the z-o-o-m uploader

Cool

It's amazing some people don't understand that up is different from down.

Falling down is easy, falling up is a totally different matter.

If JDownloader were to become an uploader as well, that would be an excellent feature. However, as regards other options, I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Zoom uploader appears to be Windows only, though they don't even bother saying it on their website, the only download link is an exe.

I'm interested in uploading software that's supported for Linux and ideally Mac too. I found Tucan Manager, which looks neat and seems to work for downloading and has an uploading button that however only informs you that uploading is not yet implemented.

Any other suggestions? I don't upload that much, but it's a bit of a hassle to use the RS web interface for each file one by one so I'd like a solution. Thanks.

The idea of adding uploading to JDownloader was presented to the managers in December. The response was essentially Never.

If you want a JUploader, find an open source Java uploader and add hosts and other features. I would not present it to the team again until at least fall of 2011.

Fair enough, thanks for the update. Better to know from the start that it simply won't happen than to hear nothing or be told indefinitely it's on some sort of eternal wishlist. Cheers. :-)
