CRC-Check FAILED (MD5)
Hi guys, I did look for this and it has been posted before but no solution I could find fixed it. Really sorry if this gets solved in 3 seconds or something (like I hope).
I've used jDownloader for a good 7 or 8 months so far without a single problem, it's an amazing program. But over the past week i've been seeing connection failures (not a big problem) and around 30% of all files finishing and reporting CRC errors. I've done everything I could think of and have seen reported as issues: - Virus Scanner (I don't have a virus scanner at all) - HDD check, RAM checks. - Downloading to a different HDD. - Complete format of Windows 7 (64bit) - Reboot of my router (Belkin F5D7230-4) - Setting Windows firewall off and allowing full DMZ on router. So, this is a screenshot of the problem in question: Here is a piece of the log which indicated an issue: Code:
------------------------ Thread: 190 ----------------------- 190 02/02/10 13:26:32 - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> DOWNLOAD INCOMPLETE DUE TO FILESIZECHECK 190 02/02/10 13:26:32 - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> Error occured: ERROR_DOWNLOAD_INCOMPLETE 190 02/02/10 13:26:32 - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> DOWNLOAD INCOMPLETE DUE TO FILESIZECHECK 190 02/02/10 13:26:32 - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> Error occured: ERROR_DOWNLOAD_INCOMPLETE 190 02/02/10 13:26:32 - FINEST [java_downloader] -> Thread aborted Thanks in advance. ----------------- EDIT: I tried to download something, got a CRC error in the first and third parts restarted them again, the third one worked this time but the first one didn't. Tried downloading directly from rapidshare through firefox but it still gave me the CRC error while it was extracting. Very odd. Last edited by Bilko123; 02.02.2010 at 17:33. Please reduce the number of chunks (Max.Con.) to 1 or 2 and reset the files. Report back if it happens again with this setting.

Hi yeah I've just tried it with 1 conn and 1 chunk and it still happens.
I have a Western Digital HDD, just ran a HDD checker and got this error. Anyone know where to go from here?? Thanks. There's some doubt as the validity of this software and problems reporting false positives however. Edit2: This seems to happen with every harddrive I have (inclusing one external and two internal) so lets discount this for now. Last edited by Bilko123; 03.02.2010 at 11:22. Reason: update |

If you're sure no firewall nor virus software is causing this (un-install them and reboot your PC), please provide a detailed log.
Look here for logging instructions. |

Yeah I have windows firewall enabled but I have tried it with it disabled. Also i'm 100% positive I have no virus scanner, I did a full format of Windows yesterday and even installed to my other HDD to try and fix this problem.
For some reason today the rate of CRC error seems to be down to around 10%. I did some messing about in my computer case this morning, reattached all the HDD's but don't know if this is to do with it. I have uploaded the log **External links are only visible to Support Staff**here. Hope Rapidshare is ok. Wish I could just show the bits you want but I really don't know which parts are important. Thanks very much for taking the time to check this. |

Please read the logging instructions again. RS have server problems. Many people can't use them.

defect memory module, buggy internet connection, harddisk sectors defect
you can check with memcheck and tools for diskchecks (on sector level)

CRC CHeck failed MD5
I seem to be having a similar problem. I have been using JD for a few months without issues, however this week I changed ISP and now I seem to get this "CRC CHECK FAILED MD5" error most of the time. Absolutely nothing besides changing ISP this week has happened.
I use premium accounts to Net-load, Rapid share & Hot-file all are giving me a lot of these CRC-check failed errors. JD Ver. 0.9.580 tried: Disabling & uninstalling my AV/Norton :added exceptions for JD and Java in windows firewall and Norton software. Fewer connections 1 or 2 Downloading it separately through firefox (worked fine) Like I said before it was working like a charm until I changed ISP (Internet Providers) ------------------------ Thread: 66 ----------------------- 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - FINER [java_downloader] -> onCHunksReady 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Close connections if the are not closed yet 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Closed connection before closing file 66 11/27/10 1:30:49 PM - INFO [java_downloader] -> Close File. crc-errrors=>
1.) firewall 2.) av 3.) hardware issues 4.) driver issues jdownloader is crc-error-free. all crc-errors users had till now came from reasons 1-4. when downloading from browser works fine, then its reason 1-2 please also provide example links. disabling firewall will not help. easy test to see if norton is causing this, remove it from computer and restart and download again and see what happens.
