Default having filefactory.com folders issue with files being renamed

HI, I am new to the forum and I have joined to try to solve a strange issue I am having with JDownloader. I am downloading DVDs from a website that uses filefactory as one of the hosts. When I download DVDs from other sites I do not have the issue, which I don't understand. What is happening is files are getting named as VIDEO_TS_VTS_01_1.VOB for example. Rather than creating the VIDEO_TS subfolder and naming the file VTS_01_1.VOB as it should, these long filenames are being used, which later I have to go back and rename every single file or the DVD will not be playable. The folder structure is not being used as it should and files are being renamed wrongly. But I can download a DVD from another website with no issue at all. i use predefined rule 'Create subfolder by package name' which is being done correctly. I then apply predefined rule "adopt folder structure' which is done correctly on the other website, but not this certain other site. There is no folder structure at all, instead files are renamed using the folder name as the file name. It is a real mess to rename all the files and put them in correct folders. Any ideas to solve this?

Hi,
looks like our filefactory.com folder-crawler doesn't yet support the auto-detection of folder structures.

If you want us to fix this, please provide example URLs of such nested filefactory.com folders.

I am not sure what you need but here is one of the downloads. It is many parts that I have set to use archive extractor and packagizer. So I don't which is causing the file renaming problem. Not sure how to let you replicate the error but here is the file share. This is a Jimi Hendrix DVD:

This website does not contain any filefactory.com folder URLs and I also wasn't able to create filefactory nested folders (folders containing subfolders + sharable URLs).

My guess is that the folder structure you're referring to is part of the compressed archives you've downloaded thus the uploader of these files provided this structure as it is and it is not a JD bug.

You can simply test it by oing the following:
1. Turn off "Delete archives after extraction" in JD if enabled.
2. Re-download these (.z01, .z02, ...) archives either manually or via JD.
3. Either manually extract them or open them using your preferred archive software (e.g. Win Rar or 7zip).

Now probably you will see the "broken" folder structure inside.
In this case you'd need to contact the uploader of the files and tell him to fix the folder structure for future uploads.

Addition:

I've checked the filefactory content and it looks fine.
You'Ve either downloaded some other files and the issue you had happened as described in my last post or maybe I failed to understand your problem.

Here is the folder structure I get:

So does this mean the issue is with the archive extractor that jdownloader uses? If I download the files and then extract them myself I do get the folder structure. However using auto extractor I do not get any folders, I get filenames that have folder names along with file names.

instead of a file VTS_01_1.VOB inside a folder named VIDEO_TS
what i get is a file named VIDEO_TS_VTS_01_1.VOB
the files are getting renamed using the name of the folders.

Is this a bug with the archive extractor that Jdownloader uses?

I did not get the folder structure that you described. Is there some setting that I have incorrectly set? Why do I not get the folder structure that you got?

Hm okay sounds really strange.
I definitely can't reproduce it.

Please re-download the files (sorry for the traffic waste) and post a log that especially shows the extraction process.

It might be okay to not re-download them but simply let JD extract them again to get that log.

Can you reproduce this issues on other machines (different OS) too?

I hope I did this log correctly for you. I started the log and then downloaded the same archive. The same file re-naming happened just like before. I don't think it is a filefactory parsing bug, I really do think it has to do with the way it gets extracted because it won't happen if I just download the files and use winrar to extract it.

@evildedd: I'm not able to reproduce any issues and there have been no changes since ages. But please check
1.) have you any Settings->Packagaizer rules that affect extraction? move to or rename?
2.) have you customized Settings->Archive Extractor ?
3.) have you any Eventscripter script active that modifies extraction folder?
