It would be nice if jdownloader was able to download audiobooks from audible.com

Video DownloadHelper browser addon is able to download them, so it shouldn't be too difficult for jdownloader I guess

Yes indeed.
Probably because the audio file is divided into small pieces to merge.

It has nothing to do with Netflix or Spotify:
- there are no DRM, as shown before
- those audiobooks are free
- no registration needed

It's more like youtube, which is supported by jdownloader.
But if you don't want to it's ok, I thought it could be nice for jdownloader but there are other apps which support it.

How to find such content on audible without logging in?
When accessing their mainpage I'am unable to find any free content ...

With a French IP (and probably from other countries too), the mainpage displays a text where audible tell they offer free access to hundreds of audiobooks:

So you don't need any login, just to click the weblink and access those free audiobooks:
