Default Does JD support windows 8?

I've just upgraded my OS to Windows 8 64bit. But then my jDownloader seem have a problem:

1. I cannot check my account status. It always tell "unknown".
2. I cannot download any files even with different file hosting. It always trying to retry.

I've tried to do this to fix the problem:

1. Reinstall and Uninstall Java 32bit and 64bit.
2. Delete and re-add link list.
3. Delete and re-add hosting account.

But the problem still occurred.

If maybe somebody need my JD Log, here:

The java 7 has got problems, in the last time.
JD Version 0.9.581 has problems with Java 7. Like Problems what you have.
When you want use java 7 please use JD2 Beta. Jd2 beta is working full with Java 7.

Default How to repair JD in windows 8

JDownloader will work if you the following

Uninstall any version of java in your computer

Then if your computer is of 32 bits download this java version:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

If your computer is of 64 bites install the 32 bits version and the 64 bits version that its here:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

After this if you have Jdownloader 0.9 dowload Jdownloader 2 and it should work now...

If you are running Windows 8 don't update java after this or your JD will stop working again

Sent the official links of Java via PM. The versions of post #12 are outdated.

If you are using JD 0.9.581, install Java 1.6. For JD2 (beta) install Java 1.7.
