How to remove duplicate links (stored in the notepad).

Then search in google for text editor which has the feature to: "sort and remove duplicate lines".
Windows notepad is not able to do such things.

I recommend using the open source and free Notepad++. I'm using it for years and it probably is the best text processor.

Notepad++ can do this, provided you wanted to sort by line, and remove the duplicate lines at the same time.

The check boxes and buttons required to do this are located in the menu under: TextFX-->TextFX Tools

Make sure "sort outputs only unique..." is checked. Then select a block of text (ctrl-a to select the entire document). Then click "sort lines case sensitive" or "sort lines case insensitive"

For me there is no such function(TextFX) in Notepad 5.9.6.2

Try to find version v5.0.2. That's the one I'm using and deletion of duplicate lines works fine.

Remi me Wrong said. You should say that this is a plugin for notepad plus.
I installed the old version. Now I have bigger problems than before. I can not close the damn program.
Uninstaled old version.

As usual, thanks to the indispensable help of my friend Computer scientist solved this task. Subject to closing.

The TextFX menu is part of the version I'm running. I never installed it separately. It's possible that these tools have been removed in more recent versions to keep N++ as small as possible.

I looked at the Notepad++ page, there are different Versions.
- minimalist package
- Unicode
- ANSI
the last thing has the plugin.
I use notepad ++ 1-2 years and didnt know that...

Just for other users that wanne use it.

Ok, ok. I did it in PSPad 4.5.6. Proved to be better.

I didn't know psp had a tool named after him.

The specs are very similar. What I like about N++ are the bookmarks and the sessions.
