Default delete whole subfolder option

it would make it easier to delete remaining files after auto extraction

Hi,
please explain what you mean.

Are you moving extracted files after download or extract them somewhere else via "Extract to the following folder" and after that you're left with empty folders because you're using the "Subfolder by packagename" option?

I'm sorry but I still don't understand.
Please either explain it again or add/link some example archives.

in the delete drop down menu, i want an option to also delete extracted files (if they are still in the original folder)
if that cant be done, its fine to have an option to just delete the package subfolder since i set each archive extract to its own folder anyway

@hyveplexel: I'm sorry but I don't see us adding such a feature as it is error prone. Imagine having set a general extraction folder and JDownloader extract the files. You pick up some files and then delete it and now JDownloader would delete files that are not part of the archive/download at all. JDownloader doesn't do book keeping about created folders/files and archives might also be compressed multiple times and thus result in more complex folder structure.

why not direct delete the remaining file after picking the files you want?

@hyveplexel: Thanks for the feedback. But I'm sorry to say that such feature won't be added in near future from our side but of course might also be workaround by using the Eventscripter, see https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=70525, eg when link is removed, maybe script that checks for remaining files/folders and do additional cleanup to your wishes.
but I can only say that auto cleanup files/folders that JDownloader is not aware of/tracking, may be error prone and may result in loss of other files.

Please ask in Eventscripter thread for help with this
